At Props, we understand that linking your payment card might initially raise some concerns. This involves your personal data, and you have every right to ensure that Props handles transaction data securely and without compromising on data security.
So, what happens when you make purchases after linking your card to Props?
Firstly, linking the payment card is done using your bank's strong authentication. This ensures that only you can grant Props permission to link your card. As per EU legislation, this permission lasts for a maximum of 6 months, after which you'll need to relink the card. After giving the permission, your bank uses its own secure token technology to encrypt the transaction data.
However, your bank doesn't share the transaction directly with Props. It communicates via a secure connection with a Finnish bank-integration company, Enable Banking, which operates under the supervision of the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority and is a registered account information service provider. Enable Banking then provides Props with the encrypted transaction events, so we can know you have made a purchase and can credit the correct amount of props on your Props account.

Props also does not sell or share your data with third parties. Doing so would violate our terms of service and result in Enable Banking no longer providing their services to us - essentially ending Props.
